John Murdo Graham worked as a whaler/AB from 8 November 1958 on the Southern Harvester. He was discharged in South Georgia 15 December 1958, joined the Southern Garden on 16 December and discharged 28 January 1959. Then joined the Southern Opal 29 January and discharged South Georgia on 31 March 1959. Following this he overwintered in South Georgia, and his next merchant ship wasn’t until 1 July 1960. He returned to South Georgia in 1961, joining the Southern Harvester in South Shields on 16 October 1961 and discharged in Tilbury on 19 May 1962. He came from the village of Back, in the Isle of Lewis Scotland and sadly passed away in 1992.
